Four of Glenn's sons became part of the business: Fred and Glenn in Bristol and later Charles and Ralph in Vergennes, after the purchase of ""Thomas Mack Coal Co."" in Vergennes, which transitioned to Jackman Fuels, Inc. in 1938. In 1947, fuel oil was added to the product line along with L.P. Gas in subsequent years. By 1967, coal sales ceased.
Fred Jackman became the sole owner of Jackman's after Glenn Jr.'s passing in 1974. He managed the company until his retirement in February 1995, when he passed the business to his sons, Paul and Peter. On July 16, 2018, the company changed hands to Timothy Bouvier and Kristine Evarts Bouvier from Paul and Peter. Tim joined the company in 1999. The new ownership introduced a fresh name: Jackman's of Bristol, Inc..
