Jackman's of Bristol, Inc. has been serving the community since 1930 when Glenn Jackman started the coal and firewood business known as Jackman Coal & Coke Company in Bristol. His sons later became part of the company: Fred in 1946 and Glenn Jr. in 1950. The business saw four of Glenn's sons join the team: Fred and Glenn in Bristol and later Charles and Ralph in Vergennes, after the purchase of ""Thomas Mack Coal Co."" in Vergennes, which transitioned to Jackman Fuels, Inc. in 1938. In 1947, we expanded our product line to include fuel oil and subsequently included LP gas. Coal sales ended in 1967.
Following Glenn Jr.'s death in 1974, Fred Jackman assumed full ownership of Jackman's. Fred led the company until he retired in February 1995, when he passed the business to his sons, Paul and Peter. On July 16, 2018, Paul and Peter sold the company to Timothy Bouvier and his wife, Kristine Evarts Bouvier. Tim began his journey with the company in 1999. This transition brought a new name: Jackman's of Bristol, Inc..

In 2006, I started my business to provide additional income when work was scarce in the Union. I have been part of the Union since 1999, but I recently made the decision to commit full-time to my business. I have tackled everything from minor home projects to major industrial semiconductor jobs across the United States. Having been born and raised in Rutland, I now reside in Rutland Town. I focus on quality craftsmanship and assure you of excellent outcomes.
