The business saw four of Glenn's sons join the team: Fred and Glenn in Bristol and later, Charles and Ralph worked in Vergennes, after acquiring ""Thomas Mack Coal Co."" in Vergennes, which transitioned to Jackman Fuels, Inc. in 1938. In 1947, fuel oil was added to the product line and later added LP gas. Coal sales ended in 1967.
Following Glenn Jr.'s death in 1974, Fred Jackman assumed full ownership of Jackman's. He operated the business until his retirement in February 1995, at which point he sold the business to his sons, Paul and Peter. Timothy Bouvier and his wife, Kristine Evarts Bouvier, acquired the company from Paul and Peter on July 16, 2018. Tim started working with us in 1999. This transition brought a new name: Jackman's of Bristol, Inc..
