Four of Glenn's sons became part of the business: Fred and Glenn in Bristol and later, Charles and Ralph worked in Vergennes, after acquiring ""Thomas Mack Coal Co."" in Vergennes, which was rebranded as Jackman Fuels, Inc. in 1938. In 1947, we expanded our product line to include fuel oil and subsequently included LP gas. We discontinued coal sales in 1967.
Fred Jackman became the sole owner of Jackman's after Glenn Jr.'s passing in 1974. Fred led the company until he retired in February 1995, when he transferred ownership to his sons, Paul and Peter. On July 16, 2018, Paul and Peter sold the company to Timothy Bouvier and his wife, Kristine Evarts Bouvier. Tim joined the company in 1999. This transition brought a new name: Jackman's of Bristol, Inc..
