With only a bicycle and basic tools, K.B. Hill developed the company from the ground up, including the installation of Sumter's first built-in tub.

He was passionate about his work and focused on grassroots efforts, fostering relationships and collaborating with the local community.

K.B. Hill was devoted to helping others, even maintaining a disabled and terminally ill employee on payroll until his death.

After weathering the Great Depression, K.B. handed the reins to his son, Leverne Hill, in 1957.

Leverne expanded the company’s focus on commercial plumbing, broadening Hill Plumbing's reach across the state.
