I began my journey in plumbing as a child, assisting my father with excavation projects and septic system installations. My brother is a skilled journeyman plumber, and I occasionally assisted him. After serving in the Army for three and a half years, I began an apprenticeship at Robertson Plumbing in Damascus. I became a journeyman four years later and eventually launched my own business.
Traveling is a passion of mine; I recently explored Nepal and enjoyed some time in Hawaii. Gardening is a hobby of mine, and I believe in sustainable agriculture. I admire Masanobu Fukuoka, the Japanese gardener and scientist behind ""One Straw Revolution"". The teachings of Bill Mollison, the father of modern permaculture, have also shaped my views.
My childhood was spent on a raspberry farm close to Sandy, where my family and I toiled to clear and cultivate the land. I still reside in the same neighborhood. My wife and I recently purchased a home; we have a young son and a daughter.
