Securing a business loan proved impossible, so I focused on spreading the word about my services. For two years, I utilized unemployment benefits provided by President Obama. The unemployment funds were not enough to start my operations, so I kept networking and sharing my plans with friends and family. Even with my hard work, I struggled to make headway. When I learned that Lowes was hiring installers in 2011, I took action. Now, I have established a moderate presence in the plumbing industry, but I am still navigating the challenges. A friend in Michigan, Bill Rucha, has been instrumental in my learning. I appreciate his support and guidance. I do my best to support him in return. Most of the time, I operate solo.
