I was eager to learn, and before long, I progressed rapidly as a plumbing technician. Despite my skills, I didn’t fully comprehend why things functioned as they did. My uncles instructed me in repairs and replacements, but when faced with something unusual, I felt completely lost! Nonetheless, I wasn’t satisfied with this narrow knowledge, so I dedicated myself to learning the science and history of plumbing! Following a conflict with a supervisor, I opted to go into business for myself, which set the stage for my aspirations to come to life! Ever since, I’ve been fortunate to teach my skills to my two younger brothers and watch them thrive as well!

A few years later, my mother, siblings, and I found ourselves without a home, and I was earning minimum wage while also delivering pizzas. I considered all the people I felt I had failed, and I held myself responsible. That experience of feeling backed into a corner with no one to save me motivated me to find the tools I needed to not only escape but to lay the groundwork for a better tomorrow! That future is what I named Intrepid!
