Continuing a family legacy, Central Plumbing was founded in 1974 by my father, Jerry, and my mother, Bennie Payne, in our driveway in Tanglewood subdivision, Central, Louisiana.

Before Central Plumbing, my father was a union plumber, and employment was challenging at that time.

To make ends meet, he accepted a job in Hollywood, Florida.

From what I understand, he was on his way back to bring us to Florida when he conceived the idea of starting his own business.

His vision was to offer service work to repair leaks in faucets, sinks, and other simple issues.

My father aimed to step back and offered the business to his children.

For 28 years, I have been involved in this business, and it is deeply part of who I am.

My wife and I chose to take the risk and purchase the company.

We have run our business as usual since 1974.

Central High School is where I completed my education.

I attended LSU for continuing education courses.

I hold a Master Plumber license.

I belong to the PHCC (Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors).

Throughout my time at Central Plumbing Company, I have held all positions.

From 1984 to 1988, I worked as a helper.

From 1988 to 1990, I worked with the sewer truck.

From 1991 to 1994, I worked as a service plumber.

I was an estimator from 1994 to 2000.

I served as Vice President/Project Manager from 2000 to 2006.

Since 2006, I have been the owner and CEO.
