In 1974, my father, Jerry, and my mother, Bennie Payne, started Central Plumbing in our driveway in Tanglewood subdivision, Central, Louisiana.

Before starting Central Plumbing, my father was a union plumber, and work was scarce back then.

To provide our family, he took a job in Hollywood, Florida.

I heard that he was heading back to pick us up for a move to Florida when he thought the idea to start his own business.

He envisioned providing service work to repair leaks in faucets, sinks, and other small tasks.

My father aimed to step back and handed the business to his children.

Having worked in this business for 28 years, it is truly ingrained in my soul.

My wife and I decided to take the risk and acquire the company.

Business has continued as usual since 1974.

Central High School is where I completed my education.

I attended LSU for continuing education courses.

I am certified as a Master Plumber.

I am a member of the PHCC (Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors).

I started as a helper from 1984 to 1988.

I was involved with the sewer truck from 1988 to 1990.

I was a service plumber from 1991 to 1994.

I was an estimator from 1994 to 2000.

I served as Vice President/Project Manager from 2000 to 2006.

Since 2006, I have been the CEO/Owner.
