Bob's Rooter Service began by Bob Trowbridge in the year 2000. Brett, Bob's son, joined him over the summer and after classes early on and is currently a full-time team member for Bob's Rooter. Bob's path into the construction industry began when his parents purchased a hardware store in Kansas City's historic Northeast neighborhood at St John and Hardesty for a period of ten years. The hardware store was eventually sold back in 1988 after Bob's parents chose to retire. Afterward, Bob took on the role of the branch manager with Evergreen Lawn Care in Grandview, MO, which was later taken over by Barefoot Lawn Services, causing Bob to search for new job opportunities once again. In 1991, Bob joined as the manager of the shop with Reddi Services at their former location in Turner, KS. Later, Bob moved to the field at Reddi Services as a service tech and continued with them until the spring of 2000 when he lost both his parents. Bob made the choice to go into business for himself and parted ways with Reddi Root'r.

I started my plumbing journey thirty-five years ago with Morgan Plumbing & Heating Company. After obtaining my master’s license, I sought new challenges, which I pursued by joining the well-regarded Kansas City franchise, Roto Rooter. At Roto Rooter, I was able to create a plumbing department from the ground up, acquiring knowledge of corporate processes and catering to a wide range of customers across the Metro area.

As I conducted plumbing training sessions for new employees at Roto Rooter, I refined my understanding of different plumbing products. After five years, motivated by a desire for more independence, I joined forces with Bob Miller to establish Morgan Miller Plumbing in 1997.
