Wendell W. Gregg had a dream! Around 1960, Wendell installed his initial plumbing system, and the company was established!

The company started in a modest workshop located at 3rd and Minnesota Avenue in Bemidji. The building Wendell bought was formerly a hardware store called Williams. Later, he acquired Kreles Mill on West 4th. In 1961, Elvin Burnham, Wendell's son-in-law, became the owner. Elvin managed the business for several years before relocating to the present location at 1815 Division St.

Seeking more room, Elvin developed a more spacious structure at this site in 1978. By then, David, Elvin's son, had entered his teenage years and took on a role at the company.

David assumed complete ownership of Gregg's Plumbing in 2007. At this time, David's nephew Eric Roff was employed at the business while pursuing his education and went on to obtain a full-time job after finishing school. During this period, Eric learned a wealth of knowledge from his grandfather and uncle.

In 1987, we launched a new Plumbing & Heating showroom, enabling Hill's to offer comprehensive plumbing services. By 1988, our 4,000 sq. ft. building at 614 Railroad St became too cramped, prompting us to acquire a 5-acre fenced site at 4221 Cardinal Road NW, totaling 140,000 sq. ft. In the spring of 1994, we moved back into town to 750 Paul Bunyan Dr NW. This transition allowed us to enhance our plumbing showroom and offer a full selection of gas and wood-burning fireplaces, along with a large retail space. In 1996, we established a new building at 3801 Bemidji Avenue N, complete with a showroom displaying plumbing fixtures, HVAC equipment, and 22 Heat N Glo fireplace models. Holly has a deep understanding of plumbing and HVAC components and labor, allowing for efficient scheduling and quick responses to customer questions. Greg R collaborates with Holly, working alongside the Installers and Service Technicians, using his extensive knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and building operations to resolve any issue.
