Before Central Plumbing, my father was a union plumber, and finding work was scarce at that time.

To support us, he accepted a job in Hollywood, Florida.

I was told that he was heading back to pick us up to move to Florida when he had the idea to start his own business.

His vision was to deliver service work to fix leaks in faucets, sinks, and other minor issues.

My father aimed to step back and offered the business to his children.
