The inception of Bob's Rooter Service was by Bob Trowbridge on November 3rd, 2000. Bob's son Brett started working with him during the summer after school hours from the start and is now a full-time employee at Bob's Rooter. Bob's path into the construction industry began when his parents purchased Land Hardware in the historic Northeast area of Kansas City located at St John and Hardesty for a decade. The hardware store was sold in the year 1988 as Bob's parents opted for retirement. Afterward, Bob took on the role of the branch manager with Evergreen Lawn Care located in Grandview, MO, which was later taken over by Barefoot Lawn Services, leaving Bob to seek new employment yet again. During 1991, Bob took a position as the shop manager with Reddi Services at their former location located in Turner, KS. Eventually, Bob transitioned to fieldwork at Reddi Services in the role of service technician and worked there until the spring of 2000 after the passing of both his parents. Bob made the choice to go into business for himself and said goodbye to Reddi Root'r.

I started my plumbing journey thirty-five years ago with Morgan Plumbing & Heating Company. As I progressed to a master’s license, I sought new challenges, which I pursued by joining the well-regarded Kansas City franchise, Roto Rooter. During my time there, I built a plumbing department from the ground up, acquiring knowledge of corporate processes and catering to a wide range of customers across the Metro area.

As I taught plumbing classes to new recruits at Roto Rooter, I honed my knowledge of various plumbing products. After five years, motivated by a desire for more independence, I co-founded Morgan Miller Plumbing with Bob Miller in 1997. Our common goal was to create a business that values fairness and generosity for all, employees and customers alike.
