In 1971, they transitioned to their current site at 622 Topeka Street. Their son, Steven Lewis, began working with the company as an HVAC serviceman in 1977. Steven purchased the business from his parents in 2008 and changed the name to Comfort Systems Inc. to signify the shift towards comfort and energy efficiency.
He is a licensed mechanical contractor and plumber in the State of Kansas. Steven is a certified home energy rater and has been affiliated with the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Additionally, Steven is NATE certified in duct installation and air distribution.
