Launched in 1946 as Ed Glassman Plumbing & Heating, owner Ed Glassman transformed the young business into a prominent player in local contracting. In 1972, following a long tenure, Joseph's dad, Adolph alongside his partner, Charles Staab took over the business and changed its name to Glassman/Staab Inc.
Following in his father's path, Joseph Glassman started Glassman Climate Control in the town of Russell, Kansas in the early 1980s. In 1985, he acquired his father's company, integrated it into Glassman Climate Control and relocated the business from Russell to Hays. As Glassman's range of building and mechanical services grew, the name was updated to Glassman Corporation in 1991.
