Launched in 1946 as Ed Glassman Plumbing & Heating, founder Ed Glassman developed the nascent company into a prominent player in local contracting. In 1972, after years of service, Adolph, the father of Joseph with partner Charles Staab took over the business and rebranded it as Glassman/Staab Inc.
Continuing his father's legacy, Joe Glassman founded Glassman Climate Control in Russell, Kansas in the year 1980. He bought his father's business in 1985, combined it with Glassman Climate Control and relocated the business from Russell to Hays. As Glassman's range of building and mechanical services grew, the business was renamed Glassman Corporation in 1991.
