In 1972, following a long tenure, Joseph's dad, Adolph alongside his partner, Charles Staab purchased the firm and rebranded it as Glassman/Staab Inc.
Following in his father's path, the son, Joe Glassman launched Glassman Climate Control in Russell, Kansas in the year 1980. In 1985, he acquired his father's company, integrated it into Glassman Climate Control and relocated the business from Russell to Hays. As Glassman's range of building and mechanical services grew, the company rebranded to Glassman Corporation in 1991.
