Established in 1946 as Ed Glassman Plumbing & Heating, owner Ed Glassman developed the nascent company into one of the busiest contracting firms in the region. In 1972, following a long tenure, Adolph, the father of Joseph and his associate, Charles Staab purchased the firm and changed its name to Glassman/Staab Inc.
Continuing his father's legacy, Joseph Glassman founded Glassman Climate Control in Russell, KS in the early 1980s. In 1985, he took over his father's firm, combined it with Glassman Climate Control and shifted the headquarters from Russell to Hays. As Glassman's range of building and mechanical services grew, the business was renamed Glassman Corporation in 1991.
