Established in 1946 as Ed Glassman Plumbing & Heating, the visionary Ed Glassman grew the startup into a leading contracting firm in the area. In 1972, after years of service, Joseph's dad, Adolph alongside his partner, Charles Staab acquired the company and changed its name to Glassman/Staab Inc.
Following in his father's path, Joe Glassman founded Glassman Climate Control in the town of Russell, Kansas in 1980. In 1985, he took over his father's firm, merged it with Glassman Climate Control and shifted the headquarters from Russell to Hays. As Glassman's range of building and mechanical services grew, the name was updated to Glassman Corporation in 1991.
