Established in 1946 as Ed Glassman Plumbing & Heating, owner Ed Glassman transformed the young business into one of the busiest contracting firms in the region. In 1972, following a long tenure, Joseph's dad, Adolph and his associate, Charles Staab purchased the firm and changed its name to Glassman/Staab Inc.
Following in his father's path, the son, Joe Glassman founded Glassman Climate Control in the town of Russell, Kansas in the early 1980s. In 1985, he took over his father's firm, integrated it into Glassman Climate Control and relocated the business from Russell to Hays. With the expansion of Glassman's mechanical and building services, the name was updated to Glassman Corporation in 1991.
