Founded in 1946 under the name Ed Glassman Plumbing & Heating, owner Ed Glassman grew the startup into one of the busiest contracting firms in the region. In 1972, after years of service, Adolph, the father of Joseph with partner Charles Staab acquired the company and renamed it Glassman/Staab Inc.
Following in his father's path, the son, Joe Glassman founded Glassman Climate Control in Russell, Kansas in the early 1980s. In 1985, he took over his father's firm, merged it with Glassman Climate Control and moved the operation from Russell to Hays. As the scope of Glassman's services broadened, the business was renamed Glassman Corporation in 1991.
