Bob's Rooter Service began was by Bob Trowbridge on November 3rd, 2000. Brett, the son of Bob, joined him in the summer and after school initially and is now a full-time employee for Bob's Rooter. Bob's entry into the construction field began when his parents bought a local hardware business in the historic Northeast area of Kansas City situated at St John and Hardesty for a period of ten years. That store was put on the market in 1988 after Bob's parents chose to retire. Bob then became a branch manager for Evergreen Lawn Care in Grandview, MO, which was subsequently bought by Barefoot Lawn Services, prompting Bob to look for new work again. In the year 1991, Bob took a position as shop manager with Reddi Services at their former location located in Turner, KS. Eventually, Bob transitioned to working in the field for Reddi Services as a service tech and continued with them up until spring 2000 when he lost both his parents. Bob decided to start his own business and said goodbye to Reddi Root'r.

I started my plumbing journey thirty-five years ago with Morgan Plumbing & Heating Company. As I progressed to a master’s license, I desired fresh challenges, which I pursued by joining the well-regarded Kansas City franchise, Roto Rooter. At Roto Rooter, I was able to create a plumbing department from the ground up, acquiring knowledge of corporate processes while serving a diverse customer base throughout the Metro area.

As I conducted plumbing training sessions for new employees at Roto Rooter, I honed my knowledge of various plumbing products. After five years, driven by a yearning for greater independence, I partnered with Bob Miller to co-found Morgan Miller Plumbing in 1997. Our common goal was to create a business that values fairness and generosity for all, employees and customers alike.

In 2003, Marine Corps veteran Michael Mansell founded Full Nelson Plumbing, driven by the belief that Kansas City residents faced unfair practices from plumbing services.
