Steven acquired the company from his parents in 2008 and rebranded it as Comfort Systems Inc. to reflect the growing emphasis on comfort and energy efficiency.
Steven is a licensed plumber and mechanical contractor in Kansas. He has received training as a home energy rater and has been a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Steven is also NATE certified in air distribution and duct installation.

As a lifelong Larned resident, Steven graduated from Leadership Larned and has held positions as a member and Chair of the Building and Trades Board for the City of Larned. Steven has held all leadership roles within the Club and has served as District Governor, later being elected as Council Chairman for the Lions of Kansas the following year.
