They relocated to their present location at 622 Topeka Street in 1971. In 1977, Steven Lewis, their son, entered the business as an HVAC technician. Steven purchased the business from his parents in 2008 and changed the name to Comfort Systems Inc. to signify the shift towards comfort and energy efficiency.
Steven is a licensed plumber and mechanical contractor in Kansas. He has received training as a home energy rater and has been a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Steven is also NATE certified in air distribution and duct installation.

A lifelong resident of Larned, KS, Steven graduated from Leadership Larned and served as a member and then Chair of the Building and Trades Board for the City of Larned.
