Mike Crosby, raised in the Kansas City area, completed his education at Bonner Springs High School in 1980. Mike and his wife Sandy have been together since high school. Mike's father-in-law was a plumber and got Mike interested in the business. Following four years of training with Plumbers Local 8, Mike received his Journeyman's certification and later obtained his Master Plumber's License.

Mike worked an apprenticeship through A.D. Jacobson working on commercial plumbing. He then moved into residential plumbing, gaining extensive experience in the local sector. After a year working as a Maintenance Supervisor at KU Medical Center, he saw a chance to launch his own business.
