Established in 1951 by Oliver J. Laughlin and his spouse Catherine, O.J. Dan, a third-generation member of the family business founded in 1951 by his grandfather and later managed for over 30 years by his uncle Bob Laughlin, takes immense pride in his heritage. Following his graduation from Parkway West High School, Dan entered a five-year apprenticeship, supported by Plumbers/Pipefitters Local 562. After securing his plumbing licenses in St. Louis City and St. Louis County, he was promoted to Job Foreman, managing O.J. Laughlin's larger plumbing projects. After five years as a Field Foreman, he transitioned into the office, where he trained to become both an Estimator and Project Manager. In 2000, Dan ascended to the role of Vice President, overseeing the majority of commercial, industrial, medical, and healthcare projects. He managed all design/build projects independently. On December 28, 2012, Dan and Bob Laughlin signed a purchase agreement, granting Dan sole ownership of O.J. Laughlin Plumbing Company, Inc.

Linek Brothers Plumbing Company was created by Frank and Henry Linek, concentrating on repair services and remodeling. After WWI, Frank assumed full ownership and operated from his residence on California Street in St. Louis until 1970, when the company moved to its current location in Webster Groves.
Frank's sons, Joe and Bill, followed in their father's footsteps, broadening the company’s scope to include larger commercial projects while enhancing service and remodeling. Bill's older sons, Bill Jr. and Jim, came into the business immediately after high school, and Joe's son, John, joined the company in 1978. All three gained hands-on experience in the field to fully understand the business. The company has expanded into the successful operation it is today.
