Our Master Plumber Richard Hume founded Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. in 2008 with some tools and containers of fittings from the back of his truck. Like any great entrepreneur, he dedicated himself day and night, passing out flyers to find new customers and connections. Despite a tough downturn in 2009, Pro-Tec Plumbing persevered; each year, we grew our capabilities by hiring new employees, trucks, and tools to the company. Having reliably grown over the years, Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. has changed -- we are now Pro-Tec Plumbing, Water & Gas, a full-service water system provider. What started as a solo operation is now a flourishing company with over 50 team members. Though we still grow, Rick's original vision remains the cornerstone of Pro-Tec: create a business centered on dedication and integrity and deliver the quality of work we would want in our own homes.

Brothers Richard (Rick) and Brandon Hume were born in Plymouth, Massachusetts, where they resided until the early 2000s.

Brandon moved to Florida in 2004 to study at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he played golf and studied in finance. Meanwhile, Rick nurtured a growing passion for plumbing; he achieved his license as a Master Plumber in 2008 and initiated what would evolve into Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc.

After finishing his degree, Brandon supported in excavating Rick's first residential home in 2009. He decided to partner with his brother for good as the company's vice president in 2011, managing the business side of the enterprise.
