Upon moving my family to Florida in 2004, I had to start fresh and join a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to satisfy the state's 4-year requirement by Florida law before attempting the state exam.

We established ourselves in 2005 as Volusia Gas & Welding and rebranded as Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I secured my initial state license; State Master Gas Installer License # LP803-27524. I earned my state certification in plumbing in 2010. I’ve worked in the gas industry since 1983 and the Plumbing trade since I was old enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years.

Initially, I believed I didn't want to be involved in Plumbing anymore, so I enlisted in the US Air Force prior to graduating in 1982 under the delayed entry program...that went over well with the old man, I tell you. I hoped to see the world and carry on the family tradition to serve the nation. I served overseas in England up until 1986 and returned stateside to Homestead, FL until 1989. I met my wife in the service, and we relocated to Upstate NY, where we made our home and raised our family. I started working for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas technician and installer. We enjoyed those years in the lovely region in the Northeast. The weather turned too frigid, so we moved back to Florida. I had always dreamed to own my own business, so this is where we are now. A family-run local business.
