After relocating my family to Florida in 2004, I couldn't just open shop and join a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to fulfill the 4-year experience requirement by Florida law before sitting for the state exam.

We made our mark in 2005 as Volusia Gas and Welding and became Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I received my initial state license; State certified Master gas installer License # LP803-27524. I achieved my state plumbing license in 2010. I’ve worked in the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing industry since I was old enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I have experience in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years now.

At one point, I thought I didn't wish to deal with Plumbing anymore, so I joined in the US Air Force before I graduated in 1982 under the delayed enlistment option...my father was thrilled about the old man, I tell you. I wished to see the world and continue the family tradition to serve the nation. I served overseas in England until I returned in 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL where I stayed until 1989. I connected with my wife in the service, and we relocated to Upstate NY, where we resided and started our family. I went to work for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas installer and technician. We enjoyed those years in the lovely region in the Northeast. It got too cold, so we moved back to Florida. I always aspired to run my own business, so this is where we are now. A family-run local business.
