Founded in 1968 by my old man in the Poconos, Pennsylvania, NY and NJ. Jankowski Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. I expanded the specialties and trades. When I moved my family to Florida in 2004, I couldn't just open shop and join a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to fulfill the 4-year experience requirement by Florida law before taking the state exam.

We made our mark in 2005 as Volusia Gas & Welding and transformed into Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I secured my initial state license; State Master Gas Installer License # LP803-27524. I earned my State certified Plumbing license in 2010. I’ve been involved in the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing industry since I was old enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years.

At one point, I thought I didn't wish to deal with Plumbing anymore, so I signed up in the US Air Force before graduation in 1982 under the delayed enlistment program...my dad had mixed feelings about the old man, I tell you. I hoped to explore the world and continue the family tradition to serve our country. I completed my service overseas in England until 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL until 1989. I found my wife in the service, and we relocated to Upstate NY, where we lived and raised our family. I went to work for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas technician and installer. We lived from 1990 to 2004 in the scenic area in the Northeast. The winters became too harsh, so we relocated back to Florida. I had always dreamed to own my own business, so this is our journey. Locally owned and operated. With my experience as a retired handyman, I offer a wide range of services to meet your needs. I focus on creating decks and outdoor kitchens, but I also tackle fencing and small outdoor structures. I also take care of small plumbing tasks, mount security cameras, carry out coax and Cat6 pre-wiring, put up ceiling fans, replace light fixtures, and hang TVs. Whatever you need, I can likely do it.
