Established in 1968 by my father in the Poconos, Pennsylvania, NY and NJ. Jankowski Plumbing and HVAC. I expanded the specialties and trades. When I moved my family to Florida in 2004, I couldn't just open shop and join a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to satisfy the minimum 4-year requirement by Florida law before attempting the state exam.
We established ourselves in 2005 as Volusia Gas & Welding and transformed into Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I obtained my initial state license; State certified Master gas installer License # LP803-27524. I achieved my state plumbing license in 2010. I’ve been involved in the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing industry since I was young enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about over 14 years.
So, with all this said...Why settle for less? We have you covered for your entire comfort system.
Initially, I believed I didn't intend to work in Plumbing anymore, so I joined in the US Air Force before I graduated in 1982 under the delayed enlistment option...that went over well with the old man, I tell you. I wanted to see the world and uphold the family legacy to serve our country. I was stationed overseas in England until 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL where I stayed until 1989. I found my wife in the service, and we moved to Upstate NY, where we made our home and started our family. I started working for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas service technician. We spent the years 1990 to 2004 in the scenic area in the Northeast. It got too cold, so we relocated back to Florida. I always aspired to run my own business, so this is where we are now. A family-run local business. Traditional craftsmanship...unmatched quality from a second-generation professional.
