Started in 1968 by my old man in the Poconos area of PA, New York and New Jersey. Jankowski Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. I expanded the range of services. Upon moving my family to Florida in 2004, I couldn't just open shop and work for a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to satisfy the state's 4-year requirement by Florida law before sitting for the state exam.

We built our reputation in 2005 as Volusia Gas and Welding and transformed into Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I secured my initial state license; State certified Master gas installer License # LP803-27524. I earned my state plumbing license in 2010. I have been the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing field since I was young enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I have experience in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years.

Well, I thought I didn't wish to be involved in Plumbing anymore, so I joined in the US Air Force before graduation in 1982 under the delayed enlistment option...my father was thrilled about the old man, I tell you. I wanted to travel the globe and carry on the family tradition to serve our great nation. I completed my service overseas in England until 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL where I stayed until 1989. I connected with my wife in the service, and we settled to Upstate NY, where we resided and raised our family. I started working for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas technician and installer. We spent the years 1990 to 2004 in the lovely region in the Northeast. It got too cold, so we returned to Florida. I always aspired to start my own company, so this is where we are now. Locally owned and operated. Traditional craftsmanship...enduring quality from a second-generation professional.
