Started in 1968 by my father in the Poconos, Pennsylvania, NY and NJ. Jankowski Plumbing, Heating & Cooling. I added our services and trades. When I moved my family to Florida in 2004, I had to start fresh and work for a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to satisfy the state's 4-year requirement by Florida law before sitting for the state exam.

We built our reputation in 2005 as Volusia Gas and Welding and rebranded as Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I received my first State license; State Master Gas Installer License # LP803-27524. I got my state certification in plumbing in 2010. I have been the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing field since I was old enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years.

Well, I thought I didn't want to deal with Plumbing anymore, so I signed up in the US Air Force before I graduated in 1982 under the delayed enlistment option...my father was thrilled about the old man, I tell you. I hoped to travel the globe and continue the family tradition to serve the nation. I served overseas in England up until 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL up until 1989. I found my wife in the service, and we relocated to Upstate NY, where we made our home and started our family. I went to work for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas installer and technician. We spent those years in the lovely region in the Northeast. The weather turned too frigid, so we relocated back to Florida. I always aspired to start my own company, so this is our journey. A family-run local business. With my experience as a retired handyman, I provide various services to meet your needs. I focus on creating decks and outdoor kitchens, and I also manage fencing and small outdoor buildings. In addition, I handle small plumbing jobs, mount security cameras, perform coax and Cat6 pre-wiring, install ceiling fans, replace light fixtures, and hang TVs.
