Sonny Stokes founded our company over six decades ago in response to the lack of reliable plumbing services in the area. Located in Lake Worth, our headquarters and workshop continues to operate under the direction of Sonny's daughter, Susan.

Stokes expanded its presence throughout South Florida, gaining recognition as a prominent name for building residential complexes, medical and research buildings, public and educational structures, and commercial developments. While we expanded in construction, the necessity of a service department emerged. Starting by servicing the properties we built, our service department expanded exponentially. Following the launch of General Plumbing in June 2013, we are now a stronger presence in South Florida.

During 1995, Mr. Stokes handed over the business to his daughter, Susan, who had officially worked since the early 80s. Starting out as the front desk staff, Susan advanced her career to the financial manager, chief estimator, VP, and now is the President and CEO. She received the state air conditioning license in 1989 as well as her plumbing license in 1992, becoming the only female mechanical contractor in Palm Beach. Susan earned numerous awards for her achievements as a female-owned business leader and serving on the State of Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board from 1997 to 2002.
