Stokes expanded its presence in South Florida, establishing itself as a well-known entity for building residential complexes, healthcare facilities, government and educational buildings, as well as private commercial properties. While Stokes grew in building, we recognized the demand for a dedicated service division became apparent. In the year 1995, Mr. Stokes transferred control to Susan, his daughter, who had been with the company since 1983. Beginning her career as the front desk staff, Susan advanced her career becoming the bookkeeper, chief estimator, Vice President, and now President/CEO. Susan received her air conditioning license back in 1989 as well as her plumbing license two years later, becoming the only female mechanical contractor in the county. She earned numerous awards for her success as a leader of a woman-owned business and having served on the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board from 1997 to 2002.
