With the launch of the General Plumbing branch to Stokes in June of 2013, it has become a more significant player in South Florida.
In the year 1995, E.C. Stokes passed the leadership to his daughter Susan, who had been with the company at the company since 1983. Initially working as the receptionist, Susan worked her way up becoming the bookkeeper, lead estimator, Vice President, and today serves as President and CEO. She received her air conditioning license in 1989 as well as the plumbing license in 1992, establishing herself as the only female mechanical contractor in Palm Beach. She has received many accolades for her achievements as a leader of a woman-owned business while also serving on the State of Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board between 1997 and 2002.
