Born and raised in Dublin City, Ireland, Liam's journey started. He started his plumbing career as a fifteen-year-old apprentice pipe fitter in 1979. In 1984, he left Ireland for Australia, taking on pipe fitting roles in oil refineries and chemical plants. After working on significant projects in Holland and England, Liam moved to Orlando in 1990. In 1996, he established Emerald Plumbing. Thanks to his dedication and commitment to high standards, the company saw quick growth. Today, Liam views the business as a source of pride, much like a father with his child.

I founded Drain Doctor Plumbers Inc. in 2003. I saw the demand from customers and lowered the prices of big plumbing firms by $50.00. I was the first plumbing business in the state to display pricing online and provide quotes over the phone.

I signed a contract with a new construction plumbing company in North Seminole County in 2015 to be their Service Division. It became clear that the owner was unwilling to honor the agreement. He sought to exploit the Drain Doctor brand to win back my customers and those he lost due to inflated prices.

I waited three years to see if he would keep his promises. WELL, I AM BACK. Currently, Drain Doctor Plumbing and Drain remains the only plumbing company in Central Florida bold enough to display pricing on its website.

I began my plumbing career with a large plumbing firm in Orlando, Florida in 1987. In just four years, I was the leading revenue producer for Residential/Drain Cleaning and held that title for ten years. I was promoted to Team Leader, Technician Trainer, and served as the Drain Cleaning Troubleshooter for challenging jobs that others often abandoned.

Throughout my 16 years, I was honored as Team Member of the Month several times a year and received numerous yearly accolades. I completed the Apprentice Plumbing Program at Seminole Community College, passed the state exam, and obtained my Journeyman Plumbing license in 1992. I stood out as one of only three licensed plumbers out of 35 technicians at the major plumbing company.

I successfully passed the two-day State Contractor Test on my first try and established Drain Doctor Plumbers Inc. in 2003.
