I, Raymond Gray, come from a long lineage of plumbers. Both my great-grandfather and grandfather were pipe fitters, dedicating years to military ship projects. My grandfather joined the Union after serving in the Navy during the 1960s. He later focused on residential and commercial plumbing service and repairs.

My father, born in 1961, learned plumbing from my grandfather during his childhood. In 1977, I was born, and I vividly remember crawling under houses at eight, playing in the dirt, and watching my dad fix things. I began doing repairs around the age of twelve. While I didn’t enjoy plumbing at first, my upbringing in a struggling family compelled me to acquire a trade.

After dropping out of high school, I got my GED and set out on my own. In 2001, I began working with my dad again. I founded A-1 Total Service Plumbing in 2004 and have never looked back.
