The closing of the company in the early 2000s prompted me to run Daystar Plumbing full-time, continuing service in Marin County, San Francisco, and the surrounding areas as I had with the previous company, and to carry on warranty work with Kohler, Bosch, and others.

I am grateful to both men for the essential knowledge and understanding I acquired from their mentorship.

I continue to have very friendly terms with both of them, and previous coworkers of those businesses.

I began doing plumbing for a neighbor, my neighbor, in 1982 after arriving to San Francisco from my time teaching English in the Far East for 2 1/2 years.
