The closure of that business in the early 2000s motivated me to run Daystar Plumbing as my main venture, continuing service in Marin County, San Francisco, and San Mateo County as I had with the previous company, and to maintain warranty work with Kohler Company, Bosch, and additional manufacturers.

I appreciate to both men for the essential knowledge and wisdom I gained from their mentorship.

I utilized my fully-stocked Daystar van to support Mike's customer base, easily switching business signs for the two brands as required.

I maintain very friendly terms with both of them, and former fellow employees of those businesses.

My journey in plumbing started doing plumbing for a neighbor, my neighbor, in the early 1980s after arriving to San Francisco from teaching English in Japan for two and a half.

I care about sustainability, and have made multiple journeys with a group to speak to government officials, the executive branch and the World Bank regarding environmental protection and the ecosystem at my own expense.

I participate in environmental advocacy, working against harmful projects, and am currently involved in local sustainability efforts, the climate committee in Pacifica, & the city council-appointed ""Task Force for Climate Action"".
