I provide installation, maintenance, and repair of water heaters, faucets, toilets, purifiers, gas seismic safety valves, tankless water heaters, and additionally carry out drain maintenance, whirlpool tub service, drain repair, gas piping, and water line fixing and placement. My aim to provide a reliably high level of support, based on detailed evaluation of concerns and clear communication, along with precise workmanship of the required work.
I earned my credentials at the suggestion of my initial boss, the owner of Bright Plumbing in San Francisco, for whom I was employed for more than a decade. I then continued my career for eight years with the owner of Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing, while catering to a small but growing client base as well.
The closure of the company in 2000 prompted me to run Daystar Plumbing full-time, continuing service in Marin County, San Francisco, and the surrounding areas as I had with Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing, and to continue service agreements with Kohler, Bosch/AquaStar, and additional manufacturers.
I am grateful to Bright and Mike for the valuable lessons and understanding I gained from their mentorship.
I utilized my fully-stocked Daystar service truck to assist Mike's clients, easily swapping magnetic signs for the two brands as appropriate.
I continue to have very friendly terms with Bright and Mike, and ex-colleagues of the now-closed businesses.
My journey in plumbing started doing plumbing for a neighbor, the owner of Bright Plumbing, in the year 1982 after arriving to SF from teaching English in Asia for two and a half.
I am passionate about sustainability, and have made multiple journeys with a group to advocate the U.S. Congress, the administration and global institutions regarding environmental protection and the natural world at my expense.
I participate in environmental advocacy, actively opposing poorly planned developments, and am currently involved in community sustainability initiatives, the Pacifica Climate Committee, & the city council-selected ""Climate Action Task Force"".
I enjoy reading ""the publication Scientific American"", ""Scientific American Mind magazine"", ""Science News"", and ""Parabola magazine"" from start to finish each issue.
