At night, he worked loading Carnation milk trucks, and by day, he was a plumbing apprentice. In 1965, Lloyd obtained his contractor's license and moved to Thousand Oaks to establish Lloyd's Plumbing.

In 1980, Ed succeeded Lloyd as the head of the business after Lloyd's retirement. Ed aimed not just for excellence but also for a professional approach. He introduced clean trucks, uniformed technicians, friendly customer service receptionists, and a “nothing we can't do, and do well” attitude for the company.

In 2013, after working their way up since the 1990s, Ed's sons Ryan and Aaron assumed control of the family business. They are passionate about carrying on the family legacy by ensuring the highest quality plumbing services with a focus on honesty, integrity, and family values!
