Zeus misdiagnosed my hot water problem, didn't call the manufacturer to find out if my appliance was still under warranty, told me that everything was installed incorrectly and I would have a fire and major leaks if they weren't fixed and tried to scam me on work and parts I didn't need. I got 2 other opinions to be sure and their diagnosis was nothing like Zeus'. So I went with the company that called the manufacturer, found out that I was still covered under original warranty, they took pictures of the appliance to get a replacement approved by the manufacturer, replaced the unit and got everything working fine. Zeus did none of this. Instead, they wrote me up an expensive list of things I needed to do and had their office call me that evening to ask if I wanted to get the work done for $4500. The company that fixed it did it all for under $300 because they actually put in the effort to find out about the appliance warranty and guided me the right way. Some businesses work for themselves and some work for the customer. Zeus is definitely not one that works for the customer. Will never go back to Zeus again and will tell all my friends and family to stay away from those scammers.
Horrible company. Tech lied to myself and my home warranty in efforts to get himself a sale. My water pressure was checked by another company who showed me the meter reading. It was not high but the damage was done and my home warranty denied any claim. If your warranty compamy tries to send them request someone else. Also scratched my wood floor. Dont call them!!!
Selena H.I called my home warranty company on Thursday to let them know that my toilet needed repair (it slid off its base). They assigned Zeus Plumbing to come to my home and they told me that it would be Monday but that someone from Zeus Plumbing would call me on Friday to schedule. I've had Zeus Plumbing come out to my home before to fix my garbage disposal and a running toilet, and the service was fine, the technicians were friendly.
However, this time it was a complete 180°.
Zeus called me on Friday and left a voice mail that I was the 3rd appointment for Monday and that it normally means late morning or early afternoon. By the time I got this call it was too late for me to call back and say that it needed to be early afternoon because my mother's hospice nurses come out in the morning and I have a toddler that naps from 11 am to noon.
On Monday, the technician called me at 11:15 am to tell me that he could be at my home in thirty minutes and he asked if that would be okay. I told him no and asked if he could come after noon. He said he would let the office know and that he would be back later in the afternoon.
So time went by and the technician did not call back, so around 4:30 I called the office and let them know what had happened and the person who answered asked me for my home address and then told me that the technician had one more appointment and then he would be out to my house.
No one ever called or showed up.
Tuesday morning I called Zeus plumbing at 9 am and told them the story. The woman who answered put me on hold. Person #2 picked up the phone line and asked how she could help. I told her that someone else was already helping me and had put me on hold. She said she knew that and asked how she could help to which I replied, "So I have to repeat the whole story?' She said, "hold on" and put me on hold. The first person came back to the phone and said, "Our technician did go out to your house." I said, "No, ma'am, he did not." and she said, "He says he did." and I raised my voice and said, "No he did not!" Then she says, "Hold on." and then another person (possibly the #2 person from before) picks up the phone and says, "Hello?" and I say, "I'm on hold with someone else." and she says, "Well, they said you asked for a manager and I'm a manager." I say, "No, I didn't ask for a manager." She says, "Well, she told me what happened and our tech did go out to your house. You refused the service because your baby was napping. You forfeited your spot. I'll have to call your home warranty company back and let them know to get you back on the schedule. There's a $50 trip fee." I say, "He was never at my house." She says, "I have a picture of him standing in front of your house." I say, "That's insane. Why would he drive all the way out here to take a picture of himself in front of our house after he said he would be back that afternoon? Also, he never said I was forfeiting my spot and neither did the office person who I spoke to yesterday at 4:30." She said, "He did tell you." And I said, "Were you sitting in the van with him when he called me, how do you know what he said to me?" and she said, "Well, I know what they've been told to say. Ma'am, I'm trying to help you." and I said, "No, you're just defending your technician. This has been a terrible customer service experience. One, who ever takes a phone call in your office should own that phone call and not pass them off to others forcing the customer to repeat the story. The staff person should provide all pertinent detail to the person they are handing off to. Second, you are not solving my issue. You are simply defending your technician. Your just a manager there, right? You aren't the owner. So you don't really have a dog in his hunt. Wether or not I'm taken care of doesn't really matter to you, but I bet it matters to the owner if he cares about keeping a loyal customer." She said, "I do care, but that's not going to change what has to happen now." and I said, "You have an opportunity to make this right." She said, "I have to do what the home warranty contract says I have to do." I said, "If you were me, you would be just as upset." And she said, "No, I wouldn't because I know how home warranties work." and I said, "Oh really? So you are telling me that not having anyone tell you that you would be forfeiting your appointment and incurring a $50 trip charge in addition to a $60 service charge wouldn't make you upset?" and she said, "Ma'am, please stop yelling at me. I am being calm and rationale." I said, "You may be speaking in a calm voice, but you are certainly not rational because any reasonable person would be upset" and she said, "This back and forth is getting us no where, I'm not going to change my mind, I have to call your home warranty company." I said, "Don't bother, I'm not paying an additional trip fee." She said, "I didn't say YOU would have to pay the fee, did I? Your home warranty pays that if they accept the charge."
Very disappointed in this company!! Originally they were notified through my home warranty, but I had cancelled that order ( they are saying they had no proof ).
After speaking with the operator, she told me they offered free estimates , and since I knew my appliance wasn't covered by my home warranty I had them come tell me if it could be fixed as I knew it was broken . The technician that arrived assumed it was broken because it was disconnected , so he reconnected the broken water softener and left!! ( I was on my home and had been in contact with him , however he did this and left with no contact) . My water was screwed up for hours as the water softener had been filled with water. I am now being billed by the home warranty company because Zeus did not honor my request to cancel the original request for service and was taking advantage of THEIR offer of a free estimate . And they're saying they have no proof !!!
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!
We were referred to Zeus plumbing through our home warranty. They came out to fix 2 toilets, which they did an excellent job! We ask them to please check our water heaters also, because we had many problems with both of them. We understood they were not under warranty, because another plumbing company told us we needed new water heaters, but they weren't covered. The professionalism of Zeus Plumbers, helped us decide to us them to install 2 new water heaters. They also checked all facets and water softner at no charge. They placed 2 new water heaters in our home on a Monday, but due to the way the house had been plumbed, they had to work 4 more days redoing and updating my plumbing. They did not charge us anything for the extra supplies and labor, which was needed. they went up and above to make sure we were satisfied. We appreciate the owner himself came out to check on everything. the 2 plumbers Rubin and the commercial plumber, Karl were the most professional plumbers we have ever had work in our homes. Thank you ZEUS plumbing!

I had this company went out to my property twice because of my warranty company referral. The quotes they provide me with warranty coverage were even higher than the other quotes I got without warranty coverage. don't use this company. they will rip you off.
Edward R.Zeus was sent to my home to solve a plumbing problem by my home warranty company. On the day they were to arrive they called and said they were held up because of the job schedule ahead of mine. It got late and I expected they would call and say they had to come another day, but when they got to my home the tech (Steven Rivas) worked into the night to finish my job in an expert and professional manner. I have no choice but to award these guys 5 stars. I would definitely use these guys again.
Brenda M.My home warranty company supplied Zeus Plumbing for issues we had at our old house and they were handled quickly and efficiently by Thomas. Explained we also had a problem with getting hot water in the kitchen at our new place so he was able to come out and take a look at no cost. The owner, Fred, personally came out and looked at the overall issues in the house and it turned out we needed to bring our plumbing into the 21st century, which they did in just three days. Chris and Karl explained the process the entire time so I knew exactly what was being installed and why. Great experience. Will keep them on speed dial for any problems in the future!
I filed a claim with my home warranty company for a leak in a bedroom closet adjacent to my shower. My first clue of poor service should have bee that they gave me a whole day time frame for when the technician could stop by ( I guess they expect yo to be home all day). My second clue was the technician showing up almost at 6 pm (which was probably why he was so quick at making a quick diagnosis of the problem). The technician looked at the problem area (note the pipe is not visible), took our water pressure and looked at water heater, then proceeded to call our warranty company with a diagnosis that the leak is caused by water pressure and improper installation. My warranty company obviously denied the claim and the plumber told me they could do the work for $1300. I called Zeus plumbing to express my concerns and long story short... they trust their plumber... they can't turn back time and if I wanted them to come back to look at the problem again we would have to pay them their outrageous fee of 205 for each extra hour spent. I called my warranty company and was told that once a diagnosis is made they can't send out a second technician. Lesson learned, never allow a technician to make a diagnosis to your warranty without looking at the actual problem and don't expect Zeus plumbing to take care of you as their customer.
James S.Today's experience with Zeus left me extremely wary of this business. The issue was my hot water heater was not heating water for long, approximately 5 minutes. I called my home warranty and they sent Zeus out. I will say the called me within 12 hours of filing the claim and were able to come out the next day.
The plumber, Kraig, and his assistant arrived, were friendly enough and promptly went to work. Once they determined the heat elements were in working order, they deduced that the motherboard/temperature dial of my Whirlpool was not working properly. I stepped away for a moment and when I returned, the plumber was on the phone and handed it to me stating, "It's the warranty company." I soon realize that I'm not on the phone with my home warranty company, rather it's Whirlpool's Parts Department and they're trying to sell me the part that's covered by my warranty. I hand the phone back to the plumber and inform him I need to talk to my home warranty first. He's the on the phone with the home warranty company and then I get a call from the home warranty company and they proceed to tell me that the part needed is covered under warranty but that the plumber is unwilling to work on the water heater because it's not up to code and claims it'll take $875 worth of work to bring it up to code in order for him to do the work. I refuse the service and requested a second opinion considering I can buy a brand new water heater for $400.
As I'm paying the visit fee, the assistant let's it slip that the plumber hit a reset button and that the water seems much hotter now. Once they leave, I turn on the shower and time how long the heat lasts, turns out it lasted more than double the time. Rather than 5 minutes of hot water that quickly turned cold, I was able to get 11 minutes of nonstop hot water before I turned it off.
Beware of this business. Had I not asked the right questions or been nearby to chat it up with the assistant I could have easily been duped into paying for what appears to be unnecessary work.
