I recently had my second experience with Zaragoza Plumbing and could not be happier. Priced fairly, efficient, solved the numerous problems I had with leaks under the sink. I referred my son to them and he is really excited about having them do his gas line work. They are easy to work with and I feel that I am in good hands - They are my go-to for all things water and gas.

""Bummer, bummer, I need a plumber..."".

After doing the relatively cheap fix on my water heater last fall I knew it was on its last legs. I was only hoping to get an additional year out of it before having to spring for a brand new one, for which the quotes I was receiving were quite over the top.

When my water heater began failing again recently it was less dramatic than last fall. The water was still warm - not hot - giving me the time to shop around for a less ridiculous price on a new water heater. A couple of plumbers came out and assessed the situation and quoted me a price for installing a new water heater. Zaragoza Plumbing's price was $50 less than the other estimate I got and that along with their professionalism was enough to land them the job.

Here's what I liked about Zaragoza Plumbing:

1. I was able to reach a live person on the phone.
2. They were willing to come out, assess the situation, and give me a quote at no cost.
3. When they came out, they came on time and followed up with a written quote via e-mail later that same day.
4. They were able to complete the job soon and up to code.
5. They scheduled the permit inspection for me but allowed that inspection to be done without them being on site. This meant I didn't have to pay for additional man-hours.
6. Were any problems identified in the inspection, causing the heater to fail the permitting process, they would remedy those problems without additional charge. They were essentially guaranteeing that the install would pass the inspection process.

On the day of installation the team from Zaragoza Plumbing came on time, completed the installation, then rang my doorbell and told me I'd have plenty of hot water in a few hours. I did and still do.

I was very pleased with every aspect of service from Zaragoza Plumbing. I never love having to spend $2,150 (50-gallon Bradford White heater purchased, installed, and permitted) but when I must, it goes down a lot easier when things go as smoothly as they did with Zaragoza.

Zaragoza Plumbing is what I call a ""true service organization"" that focuses on taking care of the customer.

My water heater decided to take a break, and Jose was able to come out within a couple of hours and get it back to work. He explained that at 17 years the unit was well past its life expectancy so problems may reoccur. He gave me several options for dealing with future problems, including inexpensive ways to try to get more life out of it.

Well, sure enough, it gave up the ghost soon thereafter, and they were able to come out and replace it within a couple of hours. They even accommodated a last-minute change when I decided on a different model.

They are very responsive and competent, and super easy to deal with. They will be my go-to plumbers going forward.

AMAZING Service!! They deliver on their word!
I bought a new water heater, they installed and came defective.

They came to see the issues, and after two tries to fix it, Jose told me he was going to replace it with a new one.
Jose, has been an incredible business owner, he came personally to see the issue.
Most companies do not give this kind of service, so I have to say he has done an incredible job keeping his reputation as an incredible company.

Lovely, family run company and I appreciated having a young person along who could do translation. However, I can not recommend them. They came to fix the faucets in the bathroom tub and told me that if this did not work, they would have to rip the wall open to fix more. Their fix did not work. I called them to request that they return. No one from the company ever returned my call. I called another plumber who discovered that there was no additional problem. Zaragoza simply had not tightened something completely in the wall. Disappointed at no returned call and that they did not complete the job the first time. It would seem they rarely disappoint so this is probably not how they normally operate.

The only reason I am giving three stars is because of the price. We had a leak at our meter box, right past the meter. It was at a shutoff valve. We had Cesar come out, take a look on Friday, and quoted $730 to fix. I was kind of shocked at the price and thought I would shop around. I was unable to get another plumber to come out in the next few days, so I called them back and they were able to come Monday morning. Cesar came out, was able to fix the part in all of 1.5 hours. He was quite friendly, wore a mask, and did a great job. While I appreciated his efficiency, I was shocked that the price was still $730 for 1.5 hours of work. Now, granted, they had two trips out to our house. I then called and spoke with Jose, who was not able to explain to me why the cost was so high. He repeatedly stated ""you agreed with the price"". It is true, we did agree on the $730 price, but I honestly assumed because it would be a much more involved job. I am by no means a plumber, so this all may be normal, but without an explanation I can't help but feel as if I was swindled. The problem is fixed, but I'm still in sticker shock. I would advise that anyone who uses them gets a detailed idea of what the fix will entail and a guesstimate of the time it will take.

Sink. Sank. sunk. My kitchen sink was being a grinch.

So my kitchen sink betrayed me by clogging so badly I not only plunged it with the sink plunger, poured chemicals guaranteed to work down the drain, I changed my garbage disposal, and bought a snake to then wear my arms out snaking the shit out of this pipe that was relentless,

I failed. Time to call a plumber. A professional.

I was scared because no one has been in my house since we quarantined after voting the primaries.

The person on the phone assured me covid precautions are solid, I can do contactless payment over the phone, and everything would be ok.

The appointment was also fast which I appreciated based on the duration of the clog I failed to mitigate.

Plumber arrived masked, gloved, and shoes in disposable booties. He waved hello and got to work minimizing conversation in the house. He released the stubborn clog with his power snake. I appreciated his bucket and drop cloth set up in case of mess.

After triple confirming the clog was clear he cleaned up after himself waved goodbye and we were dancing in the living room Charlie Brown Christmas style.

I highly recommend for their efficiency\experience, Covid precautions, friendliness, ease of scheduling, and pricing.

Now that the kitchen sink is clear I can get back to the all day quarantine cooking and baking I love doing for my family.

I feel really happy the clog is gone while my home and family remain safe.
