I was out of town and my dad had his sewer backup. He called this company to come unplug it. They told him if he didn't have some major work done that it would back up every few weeks. So they created fear in him to have it replaced. To solve the problem they recommended two different options. One to add a clean out that would cost $5k and another not to replace the sewer line, but put a pvc pipe inside of his existing line that would cost $9k. I have a really good friend who's a plumber that recommend another company to scope the drain and then email you a copy of it. Rescue rooter didn't leave a copy of the camera footage. After having the other company come and scope it, they said the line wouldn't need to be replaced. They recommend to hydro jet the line to clear the root out and all other debris. Total cost for scoping and jetting the line $600. That's a far cry from $5-$9k. I would never recommend these crooks. These guy work off commission and try to screw you. My dad is almost 70yrs old and they take advantage of the elderly for sure! Call Draintech and they will give you an honest opinion. My dads sewer line problem is solved. I was invited to be on the roof and watch them clear the root out of the line with there hydro jetting. They have the camera down the line to make sure they get all the roots and debris out. Thanks Draintech and shame on rescue rooter for being the typical salesman rip off artist.
This company told us we had roots surrounding and blocking our sewer line. They recommended an $20,000 fix. A second opinion found zero root blockage and cleared a small spot that was backed up, cost was $250. Needless to say, I did not have a good experience with this company and certainly would not call again.
Call Rescue Rooters if you want to make your plumbing issues worse! After $2,900 and almost 2 months of trying to get them to do the work that they said would be done in 24 hours- I STILL HAVE A BROKEN TOILET! Not to mention in the process of them hydro-jetting out the pipe to get this toilet working again they managed to do additional damage to the other plumbing in our home that was working perfectly fine before. I have a signed copy of the receipt saying there is a warranty but it doesn't seem to matter since they don't bother calling back or even try to make it seem like they're attempting to actually fix it. Not that I really want them too try to fix it again since they've done more bad than good and would show up at all hours of the day and night (well past 7 pm like other reviews state), or not show up at all when they were supposed to! Save your money or just call a more reputable plumber. This business is absolutely horrid.
Craig G.I had a good experience with Rescue Rooter. A.P. was professional and friendly. He examined all the drains and cleared out the problem drain. I would recommend to family and friends.
Chyryry ..Horrible customer service. We had called rescue rooter to come out to on of our rental properties. We received an email that they would be coming between 6 PM and 7 PM. Once 7 past and we had not heard from them we called them. They said it was now after hours and they would charge us an after hours fee. Well we needed to get this fixed since it was considered an emergency since our resident only had a one bathroom unit. They also said we were next in line and they would be there in the 8 o'clock hour. Well, 8 came and went. We called and they assured us they would be out. By 10PM they had not shown up and called and told us they were now cancelling. We lost hours of finding someone with the promise of them coming to the rescue. I would not recommend this company what so ever.
There needs to be a negative star rating. Don't use Rescue Rooter. We contacted Rescue Rooters to come clear our line because our bathtub was backed up. We have a combined line with our neighbor and they were aware of this. They had a special for $88 but when they arrived they said the only way to access the line was by removing the toilet and so it was going to cost over $200. Anytime we've had anything done with the line including the other time it was cleared they accessed it from the exterior. I told them this and the plumber argued it was the only way. Seeing that he was a professional I accepted it because I just wanted to be able to use my only bathroom.
Well, 15 min. later the plumber hollered at me to come and said, ""you're going to freak out"". (Wow, that's an understatement. My entire bathroom was covered in sewage and it was leaking into my carpet in my bedroom.) ""Your neighbor just used their water and flooded your bathroom."" He never told me or the neighbor not to use their water. Then his boss showed up a little later to try and sell me on replacing the line which I would never hire them to do after what they did to my bathroom. Then they said it would be an additional $200 to clear the tub. I knew this was a joke because it was just an issue with the main line. I told them just to clean up the mess and I'd deal with the tub. It took my husband 2 min. with a snake to clear what they wanted to charge me $200 for. They didn't offer any apology or discount after ruining my bathroom. The plumber cleaned up the majority of the mess but we still spent hours scrubbing and disinfecting the entire room. Also, he knew it leaked onto my carpet and did nothing about it. We now have to replace the carpet because it was soaked with sewage. It's been a few weeks and no one from their company has called to offer any sort of apology.
I wish I could post the picture to show just how bad it was. My entire bathroom was covered in sewage.
Cathy F.I had a horrible experience with this company.I was charged for 3 hours of service when they were her for almost 45 minutes. They replaced my face plate on my bathtub without any input from me. It cost me $160 and did not match my bathroom. The technician was and hour and a half late without calling. When I called about the problems, I was promised that someone would come and take a look at the situation. They never showed up, even with a reminder. The leak was fixed. I would never use this company again.
Deb N.Highly recommend Rescue Rooter. I clogged my kitchen sink on the day prior to Xmas eve -- hours before entertaining a large group. I was super desperate! Rescue Rooter sent Terry out first thing on Xmas eve. He had to snake out the drain and re-do poorly done plumbing connections. The price was fair and he worked quickly, and saved our Xmas party from my best efforts at busting the pipes.
Worst company EVER!!!! I called yesterday to get an appointment. I let the lady know I am a single mom of three kids and had to turn the water off due to a severe leak. She said no problem will get somebody out first thing tomorrow morning. The company called me at 11 to let me know they had no plumbers. She said they all called off. If you have no plumbers, why are you plumbing company first. Second why did you wait till the middle of the day when you know I have No water to call and cancel. Why not cancel it first thing in the morning so I have the chance to hire another plumber. I did explain I didn't care how late they came as long as they came and she argued with me and told me there was no way they would give me a plumber today that they would reschedule for tomorrow. I explain my trust with them is no longer and how do I know they're not gonna call me tomorrow at noon and cancel again because what if all the plumbers call off again. Worst customer service ever experienced. The supervisor was rude and non empathetic with The fact that me and my three kids would not have water for two days now due to their miss scheduling.
If you want to get plumber use any hour service.com. They are amazing and got somebody out immediately due to my situation. And gave me several different coupons to help with the bill. Highly recommend them. Stay away from rescue rooter horrible horrible horrible.
I have used these guys in the past so I called them to clean out a drain where they would have to pull the toilet. I saw the online special of $88 and called them to schedule. I told them right away I saw the $88 special but they would need to pull the toilet. The lady said it would cost another $88 for that and she noted it in the computer. She already had my information in there from last time so she used that. When they got there (after many hours of delays) the technician quoted me $475. I told him I was quoted $88 and $88. He said that's not valid for a rental. I told him they charged me that in the past and he called his boss. The boss negotiated to $250. I was not happy with the bait and switch but I agreed since the drain was backed up and my renters needed it cleared. Then he called back and wanted payment up front before any work was done. Again, this was different from the last time I used them and I told him I have never not paid before and why would they charge up front? He just said they would not do any work until I paid. I told him to leave. I will never use these guys again. Beware the $88 special!
