After thirteen years working for other plumbing companies and more than 20 years in the trade, Tad Y started his own business and established YAMAZ Plumbing.
Tad Y brings over 20 years of plumbing experience. He started as a carpenter, but plumbing was his true calling. After working for several plumbing companies on the island, he opened his own business.
Originally from Waipahu, Tad Y makes his home in Aiea. He enjoys fishing, dirtbike riding, drag racing, and various outdoor activities.

I am surprised at the negative reviews. Tad was excellent! I actually had my experience to work with him through AHS. I put in a request at night through the internet, and the next morning I received a call from Tad to set up an appointment. He was able to come out the next following day. He was very polite and extremely professional! He fixed our leaky bathtub and replaced valves in our toilet in less than 30 minutes!

First off I am surprised at some of the low ratings but I am not here to defend Tad. I am however going to tell you of my experiences with him through AHS. Unfortunately but fortunately we had to use his services on three separate jobs. The first was a leak under one of my sinks which took him less than 20 mins and he was very professional calling me Mr. even though I told him to call me by my first name. The second time was to fix my kitchen sink which was leaking. He told me to call the manufacturer of the sink to get a replacement and he would install It once I received it which he did. The part was free and I would not have known there was a lifetime warranty had he not mentioned it. During that same visit I told him one of the bathroom showers was not working properly AND the toilet was making this screaming noise when we flushed it. The last job was the master bathroom shower that only had hot water coming out but the actual call was for a leak coming from the bathroom toilet. He fixed both problems and he checked the showers in the other two bathrooms and fixed them as well. What I am trying to get at is that Tad goes beyond the call, literally, from that initial call he is so quick in fixing anything plumbing related. Our running jokes is that I hope to not see him again but I have the utmost confidence in his work and dependability. My wife who waited for him during the last job stated that he is a super nice guy! Again, Yelp allows to blog your experiences and I give Tad the TSong of approval!! I hope not to see the Man but if I do I know he will fix the problem. Sorry the others were not so fortunate.

AHS uses this company so beware. I placed an order through AHS's website and it said this company was going to contact me. He never did. I contacted him and he said ""will you be home in the next hour"" and I said ""yes."" Based on that conversation I'm expecting him to show up. He never showed up. I called twice and he never returned my calls. I then call AHS and they get him on the phone and he lied to them saying he wasn't even going to make it to my house. If he was up front with me and honest then I would have gotten someone to fix my problem but because he wasn't I couldn't get a plumber until a Monday because this happened on a Friday. Thanks YAmaz.

I have AHS that takes care of appliances and plumbing, etc. and uses Yamaz Plumbing for $75 flat rate. Tad came to replace my tenants garbage disposal. When they turned on their Dish Washer, the place flooded under the sink. He apparently didn't connect a hose or something. He came back and fixed it, but it damaged the floor under my sink. He said he would have it fixed in a few weeks. That was January 27, 2015. It is now April 15 and after my continued calls he has not returned my calls and it makes me feel he is not going to take care of this problem. If he makes good, I will change my ratings, but for now, this makes me very uncomfortable to work with him again.

I give this company no stars. Scheduled an appointment for 2:00pm to fix our washer, but he never showed up! My dad missed his game of golf for nothing! I got 5 kids to wash clothes for, the guy must be busy. However, if you tell someone you'll come on that day, you should show up. That is bad business ethics!!! Very disappointed, so we got a different plummer!!!!

We had AHS and Tad came out to look at a water tube on our fridge. He let us know that it wasn't covered, but was nice enough to actually tell me that we could probably fix it ourselves and how to do it. Since that was such a great customer service gesture, when our toilet was leaking a couple weeks ago I called him on a Monday. He agreed to come out on Friday after another appointment and asked me to e-mail him the details and our address. I e-mailed him, but didn't hear anything back about what time he would be coming. I called him and left him a message since I didn't receive an e-mail by early Friday morning, but he never called me back either. After such a great first impression/experience with him, I was really disappointed with the second.

Came out for my garbage disposal through AHS. Made my appointment quickly and showed up on time. Changed out my disposal in 10 minutes. Awesome service and obviously knows what he's doing due to the quickness! Mahalo nui loa.

Tad just came out to my rental in Mililani under a AHS warranty call. Awesome service from first contact to delivery. I appreciate great customer service!

Yamaz could not fix the leaks in my faucets, he had also made my toilet leak worse. I paid a home owners warranty that allow us to request for Yamaz to return for a second repair; however, they were not only irresponsive and a no-show, but also lied about our plumbing issue with our home owners warranty company. I've had Yamaz plumbing serviced our home for a total of 3 times, all problems reoccurred. The owner may seem very personable and brings his son as his apprentice but our experience tells me they like to pick jobs and give push-backs. Unreliable and unprofessional.

Yamaz made my leak worse! They came in, banged on the clamp beneath my sink, moved it a centimeter to the right and claimed they fixed it. They didn't even test their fix and told me that the garbage disposal was installed incorrectly. My leak got worst, I called them back and they told AHS that to fix, it will require a replacement of the garbage disposal. AHS calls back and says that our warranty does not cover that service and quoted me $300 if he were to fix it. Why didn't they report back to AHS at the time of the service? Sears did when my fridge broke down. I didn't follow proper procedures; I think they are just too lazy to drive all the way up from Honolulu to Kailua. Forget AHS! Forget Yamaz! I am also going to switch my insurance and get this done myself.
