Tad Y has over 20 years of plumbing experience. He started as a carpenter, but he found his passion in plumbing. He worked for several plumbing companies on the island, building his skills, before starting his own business.

Originally from Waipahu, Tad Y now lives in Aiea. He spends his free time fishing, dirtbike riding, drag racing, and various outdoor activities.

American Home Shield sent a service request to Yamaz Plumbing, for our sewer ejector pump. I was contacted by Tad, and given a time that he would come by to assess the problem. Upon arrival, Tad informed me that I would need to have the septic tank pumped, before he could work on it. I was given a referral to Gecko pumping; and told to arrange it so he could come back, after they were done. Gecko pumping came, and Tad had said he was coming that afternoon... and that was the last I heard from him. He never came, hasn't responded to texts or calls. In total, from my filing the initial claim to AHS, to my realizing Yamaz Plumbing was never coming back, it took 2 weeks. I have since had the pump replaced by another company, and they informed me the pumping (required by Tad) was unnecessary; an additional $400 out of my own pocket. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS

If you have American Home Shields and are provided this Plummer, don't waste your time dealing w/these people. Most unreliable and untrustworthy business we ever dealt with. They will confirm appt's but never show up or have the courtesy to return calls and ultimately blame AHS when in reality they are both at fault. We have been waiting for over 4 mnths to have our faucets to be either replaced or repaired and today AHS dropped a bomb on us implying that our faucets are under manufacture so we will need to contact the manufacturer to have them replaced, however Yamaz's have informed us parts are not available through the manufacture therefore again blaming the AHS. Please be extra careful and not rely on these incompetent companies who only are concerned about their profits.

Terrible service. We had a leaky old water heater, replacement to be covered by AHS. They sent Tad. He was here for 5 minutes, then left and did not answer his phone for weeks. Eventually said the new water heaters he was getting in stock had a faulty part, and he was waiting for that to be resolved. Ok fine, but you have to give us updates! He made several appointments, and did not show up or call. When I was able to get him on the phone, he said he doesn't work on rainy days! 7 weeks later, he came to install. Complained repeatedly about how hard it was going to be, then looked at the water heater again and told me he had brought the wrong size! This leaves me to assume we had waited for 7 weeks on a part that we didn't need. He left, promising to come back in the morning. He did not show up, and made no effort to contact me. He canceled the service with AHS, telling them it was a 2 man job and he didn't have help that day. Still refuses to answer the phone... (We were assigned Little Big Plumbing after all of this, and they were awesome!) Do not use this business!

Placed trouble call (leaking water heater) with my Home Warranty CO on Thursday, who then assigned my issue to Yamaz. Yamaz tech (Tad) called me Thursday PM and said he could not make it out on Friday. Tad said they didn't get overtime for weekends but would check to see if he could make it today. Tad called me at 9 AM today (Sat) and said he was picking up new heater and would arrive shortly. 20 minutes later he was here and then 30 minutes later he had installed a new heater. Tad is a great professional and did excellent work.

I was referred to Yamaz plumbing through my home warranty. They are quick and responsive. Thee few times that I have had them come out to my home to fix things, they are always quick and proficient. Very nice and down to earth. Support a local company. They really do take care of their customers and make sure that they are happy.

Also was a victim of this guy through American Home Shield. Did absolutely nothing while he was here, said ""They will just replace it because I don't have the parts"" and then ghosted both American Home Shield and us. Now that water heater leak cause damage and flooding in our lower house. Don't ever use this ""company"" for anything.

I do NOT recommend them. They were sent to my place through American Home Shield. Guy spent less than 15 minutes at my water heater to tell me the timer tripped, with no operational test to see if that was the problem. He just left. Water heater did not work. If I'm spending $100 the expectation is that all avenues would be exhausted, they were not.

Called AHS for my rental, keep in mind this is the second time we've called for the same issue with the same plumber. Called because the tub wasn't draining. Like the previous call, he showed up, took a look and said he would have to come back because he didn't have the correct tool. I don't understand why you wouldn't have a tool to unclog a tub, kinda common general issue. Nonetheless, he told my tenant he'd be back the following day. Next day came and no call no show. Tried calling and texting but no reply... second call to AHS) Called AHS to advise them of the issue and they informed me that they will send him an email requesting a senior tech go out because the original guy seemed I invested in this work order. The next day my tenant Waited for a call from YAMAZ which never came Third call to AHS) advised AGAIN what is happening, made initial work order, plumber shows up, no tools, said he's return filling day, never did blah blah. Apparently While I'm on hold, they call him and lie and behold he answered their call. I was advised to give him an hour to fix the issue, if he does not show up I they'll refer another plumber. He then calls me and tells me that it was the fault of AHS and that they first said it wasn't covered, (BS because why would he not call us and tell us) then he says AHS advises him that the repair was covered and that he'll follow up and call my tenant. Of course 3 hours later no show no call Fourth call to AHS) I am done and frustrated. I and currently sitting on the side of the road, on hold with AHS trying to resolve this issue. So that's my review How this guy is in business is beyond me. Like all the other negative reviews, he never has the tools on hand for simple jobs, he says he'll be back the following day and doesn't show or calls. He absolutely does not respect our time or our busy schedules. When you set an appointment, we take it at face value, please be responsible and respectful of our time Signed, problem still not resolved
