I’ve always had a knack for repairs. Years ago, I picked up some plumbing skills. While managing an apartment building in downtown Oakland over a decade ago, I often took care of maintenance for tenants. I was tasked with plumbing work by the owner, and I quickly fell in love with the trade. Ten years ago, I established Women's Plumbing Repair in downtown Oakland; however, we’re happy to travel throughout the Bay Area. Two years ago, I welcomed Paco, a skilled drain specialist, to my team, and together, we effectively serve our community. Paco is invaluable; he’s a pleasure to have on the team, and we work together harmoniously. We strive to arrive on time and deliver our best work, hoping to earn your trust.
Owning my plumbing business has been the most rewarding experience of my career. I take great satisfaction in my work and value my clients. I have a wonderful team member, and together, we provide great service across the Bay Area.

Great service. I must admit I chose the service based on its name and the reviews. Never had a plumber before and perhaps was more inclined to have a woman do the service. I guess all those TV representations of burly men overcharging got to me :-). Well the proof was in the doing - Jac came and she took care of the problem lickety split and taught me how to fix it myself in the future. Good price, efficient and knowledgeable service. Way to go.

Jac is fair, honest and very quick. She actually wanted to teach me how to take care of some simple things myself. Sadly, I have no interest in being handy but I respected her for the attempt. Good suggestions on other things that needed fixing, but no hard sell on getting them done. Awesome.

I called Jac in the morning today to fix a clogged kitchen drain and she was able to fit me in in the afternoon. Great communication- she called later to let me know when I could expect Paco, and Paco also called to let me know when he was on his way. Paco recommended some pipes be replaced because they were cracked and for easier repair in the future. I told him I could not afford the new pipes and additional time for him to go get them from the store(he suggested I could go buy the pipes while he snaked the drain, but my budget was still limited). He said he understood and fashioned a custom quick-fix for the leaky pipe, and voila~ no more clogged drain and backed-up dishwasher! Paco was very professional; he did not pressure me to spend the extra money, and he explained everything very clearly. I definitely recommend Women's Plumbing Repair. Repair was done in a little over an hour, but I was only charged for one hour- Thank You!

Jac and Women's Plumbing Repair are amazing! I wish I could give them 10 stars!!! I originally hired them to clear out my sewer pipeline and camera the line to see what was causing the obstruction. They handled the job promptly and professionally. It turned out that the problem was going to require additional expertise. Jac walked me through the entire process and provided exceptional plumbing repair consulting services. I highly recommend their services.

I love finding great local professionals that I can call on when I need to, and Women's Plumbing Repair definitely fits the bill. I usually do my own plumbing but this was a bigger job than I wanted to tackle.
I called Jac to install a new faucet in my kitchen, with the added twist that I needed new pipes and shutoff valves installed as well. I didn't want to put my new faucet on the old rusty, flaking steel pipes!
Jac and Paco showed up first thing the next morning and did a beautiful job replacing the old pipes without breaking my tile or cutting into the wall.
It took 5 hours of work for these two pros so you can imagine how happy I was that I didn't take this one on myself. My water would STILL be off!
I definitely recommend giving Jac a call if you need help with your plumbing.

Mine was definitely not an emergency, but Jac was there right away. The basin in my pedestal sink had broken, and Jac installed a new one for me. Although it ended up costing me more than I expected, I got my $$$ worth! The people who had installed the sink initially had not done it correctly, so we had to go out and get a new faucet and hardware to replace the rusting and rotting hardware that had been installed and not properly sealed. Jac explained everything she was doing. I love my new sink and faucet, and I know it's done right this time!

I am a single mother and had had a persistent leak under my kitchen sink for about one year. It was a small leak that left a puddle, and it has been starting to mold. I had two other male plumbers over to try and fix the problem, one of whom came 4 times. It still kept leaking and I was always worried about it and had already spent a lot of money. Also, I have a Watts reverse osmosis water filtration system under my sink that needed the filters changed. I called Jac and she came the same day. I noticed right away that she did things differently from the other plumbers. First of all, she brought a bright electrical plug in light that illuminated the under sink area. Then she filled the sink with water, which the other plumbers had not done. This showed that the leak was coming from the bottom of the garbage disposal. She replaced the garbage disposal, and then proceeded to change the reverse osmosis filters. The best part was that the entire time she was teaching my 17 year old son how to change the filters, how to turn off the water outside the home and how to turn off the water under the sink, so that next time (in6 months) I won't have to call a plumber to change the filters. My son can do it. I am so pleased to be able to support a wonderful woman in a traditionally male field. Bravo, Jac!

Wow! Great service-very professional, responds quickly to calls and reasonable rates.

I purchased a house and to my dismay the first bath I took caused water to flood the bathroom due to a leaky pipe. I'm not a plumbing expert by any means and I need my bath to function. I called Jac in the middle of the afternoon she had just finished a job and was clearly wiped from it but she stopped by and in about 15 chherful minutes she was in and out. No more leaking! I live in an old house and I'm sure we'll need to avail ourselves of jac's services again soon. She's fantastic!

I'm bummed that yelp doesn't let you keep your last review too and keep piling them on...because I'm in here to talk about how Jac, once again, helped me out in a huge way but it will erase my last 5 star rating! Dang it - well if you're this know that Jac has 10 cumulative stars from this lady.
Last time was at my loft in Jack London Square, on a weekend - toilet problems and you know how dire those are. Not only did she fix it, and the garbage disposal while she was there, she taught me how to do everything she just did! Who does that? She's really about getting people out of jams and educating at the same time - just excellent.
This time, I'm in a rental house in Montclair - built in 1925, super old stuff that's falling apart. Like where you're afraid to touch anything because it might disintegrate in your hands and cause a chain reaction...yeah, well, my bathroom sink had standing water in it - gross, and I tried to snake it myself but couldn't get it to go so I figured Super Jac would help me out, plus my washing machine was flipping out too and laundry was piling up.
Jac came out as soon as I was available, and when the snake went a ways but not far enough she took that one loop that is right under the sink out to see what was up, and oh yeah...crumbled in her hands. OMG...and the saga began...suffice it to say, she is determined and when one problem led to another, and another, and another she stayed positive and even called in reinforcements. Colleen was great too.
I'm so thankful that both ladies were so professional and patient, and stayed until everything was wrapped up - and it was a serious nightmare. Keep in mind, the beautiful part of all of this too, is that she taught me how to do all this work along the way - seriously! Again, she doesn't need to do this with her clients but she does because she sincerely wants us to be in a better position than when she shows up to dig us out of something.
I gave Jac a heads up that if my other job doesn't work out, I might just be in the market for a plumber's apprenticeship with her! I think it would be great...though I'd have to conquer my aversion to the stuff that causes plumbing problems in the first place - YUCK! Better them than me :)
USE JAC & COLLEEN - THEY ROCK!
