Fixing things has always been my passion. I learned some plumbing basics many years back. When I managed an apartment building in downtown Oakland thirteen years ago, I found myself handling a lot of maintenance tasks. The owner relied on me for plumbing work, and I quickly discovered my passion for it. I launched Women's Plumbing Repair a decade ago in downtown Oakland; however, we’re happy to travel throughout the Bay Area. Two years ago, I welcomed Paco, a skilled drain specialist, to my team, and together, we provide excellent service to our community. Paco is invaluable; he’s a pleasure to have on the team, and we work together harmoniously. We aim to be punctual and provide top-notch service, with the goal of becoming your trusted plumber.
Owning my plumbing business has been the most rewarding experience of my career. I take great satisfaction in my work and value my clients. With my amazing employee, I feel we accomplish great things for the Bay Area we serve.

Lisa F.As soon as Jac got here, she told me she could not wear a mask while she works. I told her it was fine but I am staying masked.
As soon as she got in the bathroom, she started complaining that I have a bidet toilet seat. She said it made the whole toilet heavier. I told her it is very light and only weighs about 3 pounds (I can take my bidet toilet seat off myself in about 10 minutes- it just slides off). Then, she started complaining about the scent in the bathroom. I am a girl, I have a lot of scented things in my bathroom. If someone has allergies, they need to talk to me about it ahead of time. Then she started just pulling stuff off the shelves that she wanted me to take off that she said was giving her a headache. I told her I wasn't quite ready to do all this because I already cleaned the whole bathroom before she came which I thought was really nice and I don't have a room to restock my entire femme collection of makeup, perfume etc.
Then I went outside because I started to shake. It's already hard enough to have people in your house right now. It's already a stressful situation. She came to ask me what I was doing and I said ""please leave me alone- i'm going to stay outside while you do your thing"" and then she said she was leaving. The end.
As new home owners, my wife and I inherited a problematic shower. We spent hours researching the issue and gave up hope on solving the problem without hiring a plumber and tearing into the wall to replace the shower valve. Our Hansa brand is longer in the USA and parts are very limited. We had another plumber come through and give us a quote of $1,400 to tear into the wall and replace the valve (plus $300 for new hardware). Within a few minutes on the phone, Jac used her expertise to talk through the problems and restore my confidence in fixing our shower ourselves. In short, Jac saved us $1,700! It's so rare to find someone who is willing to spend a little time with you to come to a logical solution, instead of just presenting the most lucrative option. We will be recommending Jac and Paco to anyone who will listen!
Spoke with Jac today. She was not able to help me with my plumbing issue, but gave me the number to someone else who could. Now that is good customer service
Mario D.As a new homeowner, it's really stressful looking for repair people that you can trust. You're constantly worried about getting ripped off or getting shabby work done. I really recommend Jac and Women's Plumbing Repair because they are honest and are looking out for their customers. We had a complicated piping issue in our bathroom that required two visits and additional technicians, and we were able to get it done for a fair price. Jac explained everything thoroughly and our communication was great!
Linda F.I owe Jac a favour!
We recently had plumbing repair under our kitchen sink, and with older homes, one problem seems to cascade into a bunch of new problems. The dishwasher had been disconnected during the fix, and upon re-connection, we found out the hard way- waking up to a kitchen floor pond this morning- that the shutoff valve under the sink was aggressively dripping. Our plumber was away, so had no way to call him back.
I called Jac, and instead of coming out to do an expensive shutoff replacement, she coached me on the phone and via text to simply tighten a nut behind the shutoff to adjust it.
And Voila! Fixed.
After some horrifying contractor experiences over the years, its *so* nice to tell a good story, about a contractor with integrity.
Tai F.I called Jac a few years ago when I had a problem with my tub, and she saved my ass. At the time I had a really difficult landlady, and I had tried to snake the tub my myself which turned out to be a grave mistake. She not only fixed the mess I had made but also showed me how to avoid such problems in the future. She was super kind and honest, and she didn't make me feel like an idiot, unlike every other plumber I called. Luckily I haven't needed a plumber since then but when I inevitably do I'll definitely be calling her.
Juliann B.Wanting to support local businesses and women, I called Jac first to help me out with my howling pipes. She asked me when they were howling and was able to give me advice for a quick 20 second fix over the phone for free. YAS! Thanks, Jac, for being a kind and honest professional.
Elaine C.Jac was super nice and so helpful! I had a rattling tube under my kitchen sink for the last few days and within minutes, she had diagnosed the issue. No more rattle! She also explained everything so that I could understand the reason behind the fix, which I appreciated. Highly recommend!
Darwyn R.
Jac has extensive knowledge about all things plumbing! She willingly gave me great advice about a leak in my tub. She gave me specific advice about the problem, and not some lengthy, costly and unnecessary repair.
Let's all support small business owners and keep the Town thriving!
GO JAC!
Karen R.I called to get a plumbing repair and women's plumbing apologized but their people were sick and couldn't work. They gave me a referral for T&T plumbing, family owned. They came out in a flash when I told them women's plumbing recommended them. They were polite and fixed my plumbing quickly. So, I appreciate women's plumbing and their recommendation.
