Since our inception in 1982, we have been the go-to HVAC contractor for quality-focused customers across Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, and Fountain Hills. After moving to Phoenix in 1976, Wolfgang dedicated six years to a local air conditioning business. He established Wolfgang's Cooling and Heating Corporation in 1982. By emphasizing quality workmanship, careful attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence, he built a devoted and growing clientele.
In 2000, adhering to German tradition, Wolfgang entrusted the business to his son-in-law, David Hinze, and long-time employee Tim Graves. Together, they honor the strong principles and traditions laid down by Wolfgang. Even though Wolfgang is no longer involved in daily operations, his principles still play a vital role in the company and its commitment to quality.

My ac fan motor went out on Thursday 6-13-2024 so we called to have some one come out and look at it. They showed up and used a stick to turn the motor and said yup your fan is out. He pulled out his iPad and plugged the numbers in and gave me a quote for $1173, I pull up my contract from 5yrs ago and show him and he says it doesn't show anywhere on your order that it's under warranty, even though I am showing him the actual document. He asks so do you want us to do the repair. I ask him is this something I can do because I am mechanically inclined and able to do it. He said if I were you I would do it. This isn't my company so screw them. He said he didn't have the part on him. And couldn't get another fan that afternoon. So it would be next week once it did come in. I pay a $100 diagnostic fee for him to use a stick he found in my back yard to turn the fan, he didn't use any tools or meters to diagnose my system. He was at my house for 5-10min. Now it's Friday I found the part and replace the run cap and the motor. All for $450. Ac is working good. On 6-17-2024 I get a quote by email for $497 and also stating that the motor is under warranty. So I call the service department and was told I'm sorry we missed up and now I am doing my due diligence by sending you an updated quote. After I was told my system wasn't under warranty and the terrible tech didn't do his part. And after I spend the money to fix my ac so my babies aren't in a hot house. I ask the manager if there was anything that can be done So i can recoup what I spent when I didn't need to. I was told nope that I should've went with them and spent the $1173 and then I would be getting reimbursed. After being lied to I don't have the confidence that this company would've called me about the mix up or as they called it a miscommunication. This is straight dropping the ball and now they don't want to make it right. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY. TERRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND TECHNICIANS.

Very good company, good pricing and professional staff. They tuned up my AC before summer and I am confident with the services they provided, plus the price was just right!

Very disappointed in this company. Last year I had a technician that seemed very knowledgeable and fair. My unit is less than 4 years old and he said it was a very good installation, in good shape and didn't need a thing. This year a different technician told me it was a poor installation and there were ""many problems"". Recommended over $4K worth of ""maintenance"" or possibly buying a new unit from them. Since it is fairly new and is and has always worked fine I am ignoring their ""recommendations"". I felt like I was being completely targeted and price gouged. The sole aim was to extract as much money from me as possible. I will be calling another company in the future.

I had this company install my new unit 2 years ago. I was talked into the ""Maintenance Package"" by the salesman and was led to believe I chose the plan that would cover all maintenance needs. Every ""maintenance check-up"" since then, I have been quoted for additional repairs on what should be considered maintenance items, like cleaning the coils. It seems like this company just wants to talk you into a maintenance plan so they can have an excuse to come out every 6 months and quote you for excessive charges. I just have to pay an additional $800 for cleaning the internal coils and the blower motor, which are all maintenance items. Luckily my contract will be up with them soon and I will be finding a different company to utilize for annual maintenance and inspections. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy, save yourself some heartache and go somewhere else.

Bought a new unit 2.5 years ago, its been worked on by these people in the past 2.5 years. Asked for service because the heater was not working back in November per the technician they did not put in the order correctly and still to this day not fixed. Got tired of waiting so I called another company and they said they will not work on it because the poor service job that this company did. Got a hold of one of the managers at Wolfgang and he just denied the bad workmanship that his company did and offered a few hundred in discount. I explained that a new unit should not need this much attention and should require this much work. I've been trying to get a hold of the owner and left multiple messages and yet to call back.

You can quickly understand the value of knowledgable people solving urgent problems--which is why the advice and plumbing repairs provided by Jay H.--a Service Plumber at Wolfgangs--merit a ""GREAT"" review!
My wife and I were most pleased by Jay's courteous competence, and his willingness to explain what needed to be done and why.
Suffice it to say that when further plumbing work is needed, we're going to specifically request that Jay H. be sent here again!!!

Disappointing customer service. We purchased their premium AC unit in November 2022. During last nights major rain storm there is a leak coming from our AC return into our hallway. Our roof is only 6 years old. We called Wolfgang this morning because we believe this is an install issue. Why else would the roof leak at the AC unit? Parts and labor have a 10 year warranty. We were told that because it has been over a year (13 months since install) we would have to pay them $109 diagnostic fee. This is non-refundable even if it is found it was an install issue. Just making people aware that this issue has now caused water damage to the interior of my house. There are companies out there that will stand by their work and not Nickle and Dime their customers. Wolfgang is not one of those company's.

I had a single handle shower valve go bad on a Sunday. I called Wolfgang's Plumbing and spoke to Savannah and got scheduled. They were the only company willing to help which was important because I had no water due to a corroded and broken pipe.
I was later contacted by Jeff Orr. I explained my situation in detail provided pictures as well.
This was very late afternoon.
Jeff had a tech available but since it was late he wasn't sure if he could get the part. Jeff explained everything very clearly to me.
Jeff went further, and while his tech was getting ready to, Jeff was already working to get the part to be sure they could get my situation repaired.
His tech Jay showed up, again, very late on a Sunday. Jay was pleasant. Professional and got straight to the job..There are not enough good and kind things I can say about this experience with Wolfgang's. It was a bad situation from the start when I attempted the repair. This went as smooth as it could have. Jay worked late into the night with an exceptional attitude. He was informative. He explained pricing before he began.
From start to finish he was great..I can absolutely say that this experience, the level of professionalism all of it was spot on. You definitely do not get this treatment by service providers
anymore. I highly recommend Jeff and Jay at Wolfgang's Plumbing and when I need something else plumbing related, I'll be calling Wolfgang's without a doubt.
