These guys were terrible. The tech that came out was lazy. He was more interested in leaving than fixing our air conditioner. I swear he was at my house for 5 minutes and was trying to charge me and get out of there. He kept telling me what I needed to do. At one point I told him he should be unscrewing my air intake not me. He got upset that he had to go back out to his truck and get his tools. I also had a coupon that I got off their website for $25 off any service. He then refused to honor the coupon. He told me that any didn't really mean ""any"" service. I would never use them again. Terrible!
Coming home from church last week we noticed hot air blowing out of our main a/c unit --- 110° outside so not a good thing! We contacted Wolfgangs emergency service and Cody came out within a few hours -- our 23+ year old unit had finally died! They have been servicing it ever since we moved here and nursed it for as long as they could. Even though it was Sunday, John P. came out and spent several hours very thoroughly measuring the house to see what we'd need. He even came back early another day to double check some of the duct work in the attic -- way too hot up there on Sunday! Gave us a bid and was able to set up installation the following Thursday. Phoenix P. and Derrick B. arrived at 8:00 am and by noon the unit was up and running -- great job, these guys were polite and answered any questions or concerns we had.
Very pleased with their work and will continue to rely on them for our air conditioning work.
Marie Z.I have relied on Wolfgang's for over 20 years. With their semi annual service I rarely have emergencies. But I did today--in July. Cody was on call and got us going again promptly. Grateful he knows his job and carries the necessary parts!
After posting a negative review for Wolfgang's I need to amend it. We've been using them to service our house units since we moved to Phoenix and were always pleased with their service and technicians. When I had them install a mini-split unit in my workshop I expected it to perform the same as a household a/c unit so was disappointed that the humidity levels were higher than I felt they should be. They have come over numerous times, called in factory reps and the unit works as designed. After 30 years of woodworking in a garage shop where the temps often hit 110° but barely any humidity in Las Vegas my hopes were too high. They explained how the conditions in a 500 square foot shop building don't compare to a full house so the unit will function differently. One thing I've always appreciated about them is that one of the units on my house is over 20 years old and has a number of issues. Rather than trying to nickel and dime us to make repairs they're content to just let it go and we'll replace it when it gives up the ghost completely. Other companies would suggest replacing the motor, bearings, etc. but the unit isn't worth it.
First I will say they are very friendly and were very responsive to come to my place. My furnace would only run during the day and not at night, temperatures by morning got down to mid 50's. The first guy came out and said my thermostat wire was bad and wanted $800 to run a new wire about 15'. I said no and he rewired the bad part but left all connections open to the weather to corrode. It still didn't work so they sent out another guy, he said I was low on freon and wanted me to do a leak test, $1800.00. I said no. I got on Craigslist and the only one to respond came out, no charge to look. Within 3 minutes he found a bad relay, fixed it, cost very little, and it's been working perfectly. Needless to say I found a new heating/ac guy.
5 stars! The techs at Wolfgang's do NOT get paid on commission. When commission is involved there is a lot of upsell and to be honest the potential to sell many ""extras"" which are simply not needed. My tech, Justin, was very honest and explained everything to me (I had a lot of questions for him). The AC went out last week and Justin was able to get me back up and running. If he or Wolfgang's would have been dishonest, he could have charged me an arm and a leg to get the AC back on. This is a great company, and I am glad I found Justin and Wolfgang's.
Bill S.I wasn't looking forward to this day, but after 23 years our AC finally gave out. After comparing 3 companies, it was clear that Wolfgang's was the right one for us. Ish explained his proposal and made me feel comfortable that they were a quality provider. Ultimately, we paid more than the others, but we felt it was worth it.
Kris, Cody and Ryan showed up and were meticulous with the install and respectful of our home.
It's never a good thing to spend so much money, but these guys made it painless and so far, we don't have any regrets for paying a little more.
As the saying goes, the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
We needed to replace our 20 year-old central heating/air system. We had several companies come out for estimates. All estimators except for Wolfgang's just quoted us based on our existing system, and sent quotes without presenting any other information. But John from Wolfgang's came out and actually sized the system (I think it's called an HVAC load calculation) for the house. He also walked us through several system options, and he'll go into as much detail as you want, and left us with a nice chart/price sheet of systems to consider.
We decided to go with Wolfgang's. You have to make a 50% down payment to get on the schedule, with the remainder due at installation. They were busy so we had to wait about 10 days for the installation.
The two-person installation team (Khris and Cody) arrived on time and was respectful of the property. We liked that they put on booties whenever they were in the house. I had a few questions and concerns during the installation and they were happy to answer my questions. The installation took about 8 hours. And before they left they cleaned up everything inside the house and at the attic access in the garage.
About a week later John came back to look at/check the installation and answer any questions we had.
So far everything is good and we're happy to be ready for the summer heat.
Wolfgang's is a certified Trane dealer/installer and I think that is all they sell.
Wolfgang's replaced our old cooling and heating unit. We received outstanding customer service. John, Chris B, Kris, Bill and Ryan were prompt, professional, and courteous and our new unit works like a dream. Wolfgang's is a first rate company.
Jodi C.Had several estimates from different companies. Theirs was middle of the road but offered a Trane. John came out to do the measuring and such. Very nice, explained everything. The crew returned in the next few days to install the system...super nice guys. After a day or so I noticed I didn't have hot water. Call on a Saturday to see if it was possible that the install had blown out the pilot light on my heater. Nice gentleman said that he would stop over in the morning. He did, and it was just as I suspected.
John returned the following week to fine tune what he thought needed (close off some of the vents to keep the air flow even). Everything was great and offered to return at any time if I needed help.
Great company. It was a wonderful experience.
